Louisville’s newest selfie museum is now open.

Angles Selfie Museum (111 West Washington Street) is a space where people can take Instagram-worthy photos of themselves and their friends in colorful, well-lit themed rooms.

Professional photographers are also welcome, although the staff requests that guests not bring outside photo equipment besides cameras. Museum staff are available to help with photos if necessary.

The rooms at Angles include “Money is the Motive,” themed around cash and gold; “Tea at Tiffany’s,” themed around Black glamour and the Tiffany brand; “A Girl’s Dream,” an all-pink room for girly girls; and “Flash Back,” a space straight out of “Saved by the Bell,” with a 90’s-themed bedroom, classroom and lockers. There are also standalone backdrops.

Angles is not the first selfie museum Louisville has ever had, but it is the first Black-owned one. The 8 “culturally-curated” installations that make up the space were designed by local artist Latora Schmidt.

Angles is open Wednesdays through Sundays. General admission to the space costs $20 per person for a one-hour timeslot. Reserve your tickets here.
