Justin Thomas and Jeff Houston are deeply passionate about all things Louisville- the culture, the history, the essence. Thomas has a strong background in perfumery and his best friend Houston has a drive for entrepreneurship. With their powers combined, Louisville’s first luxury fragrance house was born.
Born and raised in Louisville, Thomas and Houston design their fragrances with the intent of leaving an elegant scent trail that lingers, as opposed to a loud, bold smell that can be overwhelming to the senses. 502 Fragrances bottles the essence of the city of Louisville in each scent they create, so their consumers can take a piece of the city they love with them wherever they go.
Upon their launch in 2022, 502 Fragrances was recognized as the Minority Business of the Month by Louisville City FC, gaining attention one month into their business and has even expanded into the Atlanta area.
Their three fragrances- Nulu, Mary and Static, each highlight different aspects of Louisville while containing their own essences. All of 502 Fragrances scents are gender neutral and smell differently from person to person.
Nulu- Inspired by the bright energy of Nulu. The scent is refreshing, clean and modern.
Mary- Named after the Louisville-born singer, Mary Ann Fisher, known for being a featured vocalist in Ray Charles’ band. This is a bold, cherry and amaretto style-fragrance that leans on the sweeter side.
Static- Named after the Louisville-born music producer, Static Major, who is known for “Lollipop” by Lil Wayne, “Pony” by Ginuwine, and more. It’s a fresh scent that can be worn day or night with sensual elements.
