Everythings coming up COVID, and the latest casualty of the out of control coronavirus numbers is the Louisville Free Public Librarys programming schedule. All in-person events with LFPL are canceled for the next two weeks as the peak of COVID infections is expected in the coming weeks.
For now, the branches will remain open with regular hours, but starting today any live events are canceled. There will be some programs offered virtually, but they may be rescheduled or canceled as the need arises. As things shift and change, the library will continue to update their event calendar, so if you are wondering about a program, it is best to call ahead and confirm the status of an event beforehand.

In addition to the cancellation of events, all meeting room reservations are also canceled.
While other in-person services will remain available, for the health and safety of those in the community and the hardworking staff of the library, masks are still required at all times during any visit to the library. Masks are required for all patrons ages 5 and up.
As a reminder, the LFPL has a wide range of digital services that includes movie streaming, podcasts, e-magazines and online learning. These services are available 24/7.
