Wini Harrison

April 10, 2025 from 6-7pm, local artists from Southern Indiana and Louisville will be hosting an Artist Talk at the Bourne-Schweitzer Gallery in New Albany.

Wini Harrison

Wini Harrison is a native of Southern Indiana and has a BA in Fine Arts from Indiana University Southeast. She has taught Oil Painting classes for the past 15 years and has exhibited work both locally and regionally. Currently she is teaching six classes a week at Preston Arts Center in Louisville.

The theme for her current exhibit is inspired by events in her life and the Welsh word HIRAETH – Homesickness for a place you can no longer return to, or that never was; a feeling of nostalgia or yearning for something that no longer exists.

Marty Edlin

Marty Edlin is a native of Louisville, Ky and studied art at U of L and the Art Institute of Chicago. The unconscious plays a large role in Marty’s artistic practice.

He values ambiguity and paradox. His figurative sculptures in this exhibit present images of magical realism in three dimensions that are stripped of setting and context. His sculptural forms are luscious, robust and introspective.

The exhibit and Artist Talk is free and open to the public.
