Good Gravy! is Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari’s first family rollercoaster, and was just named USA Today’s number one Best New Theme Park Attraction of 2024. The coaster consists of 1,500-feet of excitement, complete with a seven-story spike sending the riders backwards and a max speed of 37 miles per hour.
Best New Theme Park Attraction is a category in USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards, where experts nominate their favorite new themed attractions and readers voted for their top picks. The entire list of winners is as follows:

8. Whispering Pines Haunted Hotel at Funtown Splashtown USA – Saco, Maine
9. SpongeBob’s Crazy Carnival Ridge at Circus Circus Las Vegas – Las Vegas, Nevada
10. Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers at Kings Island – Mason, Ohio
Leah Koch-Blumhardt, Holiday World’s Director of Communications and Fourth-Generation Owner spoke on the win in a release, “We are so grateful for the panel of experts for their nomination and our fans for voting. Good Gravy! is an outstanding addition to our lineup of world-class coasters, and the theme took the ride to another level.”
This is not Good Gravy!’s first award, as it won Best Theme Concept at Amusement Today’s Golden Ticket Awards. It was also a finalist in Best Family Coaster placing second, Best New Coaster placing fourth, and Best New Attraction Installation placing fifth, as well as earning the Indiana Tourism Award due to the buzz surrounding the ride.
