The annual Light Up St. Matthews event, a start to the Christmas season with live entertainment, holiday activities and a stunning lighting ceremony, is opening on Saturday, Dec. 6.

- 5:30 PM: Photos with Santa line cutoff
- 6:00 PM: Lighting Ceremony
- 6:30 PM: Drone Light Show

Parking: Free parking is available at 4003 and 4007 Kresge Way, directly across from Baptist East Hospital.

Family-Friendly Fun for All Ages
This beloved tradition has united residents and visitors for decades. The free event features:
- Live musical entertainment
- Letters to Santa
- Photos with Santa (arrive early—lines cut off at 5:30 PM)
- Arts and craft stations
- Train rides
- Music throughout the park
- Free cookies and hot chocolate (while supplies last)
Most activities are hosted under a large tent, accounting for any weather.

The Grand Lighting Ceremony
At 6:00 PM, Brown Park will be illuminated with thousands of colorful holiday lights, followed by a drone light show at 6:30 PM. The dazzling display will remain lit nightly through New Year’s, offering a magical holiday backdrop for visitors all season long.
