The annual Butchertown Art Fair returns to Louisville’s historic Butchertown neighborhood on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7, bringing dozens of artists, live entertainment and local vendors to the tree-lined blocks of East Washington Street.

The juried art fair is on the 800 and 900 blocks of E. Washington Street from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Organizers say the event will feature handcrafted artwork from 80 artists representing Louisville, the surrounding region and beyond.

EDITOR’S PICK

The Butchertown Art Fair, held annually during the first weekend in June, has become one of the neighborhood’s signature traditions, blending art, music and local culture against a backdrop of 19th-century homes in one of Louisville’s oldest neighborhoods.

Festivalgoers can also listen to live music performances, enjoy local food trucks, beer, wine and cocktails all weekend long, alongside artist booths.

Organizers are also incorporating a new interactive element this year – a live painting class on Saturday, given by a local artist.

RELATED

The Butchertown Art Fair serves as the primary fundraiser for the Butchertown Neighborhood Association.

Proceeds from the event help support neighborhood preservation efforts and community development projects in the historic district. Organizers said several local nonprofit organizations will also benefit from funds raised during the 2026 event.

Event organizers thanked this year’s sponsors for supporting the festival, including 502 Print & Copy, Allodium Real Estate, Butchertown Grocery Bakery, Copper & Kings, Downtown Animal Hospital, Hadley Pottery, Martin on Main, Mellwood Arts Center, Metro Council District 4, Thornburg Endodontics, Mac & Catherine Willett, Vendome Copper & Brass Works and White Clay.
