Meyer’s Animal House is an Illinois-based animal care center whose creativity has made them a social media sensation. Hannah Cornelius, a member of Meyer’s social media department, started making videos recreating the movie posters of Oscar Best Picture nominees featuring the furry friends from their doggy daycare program, Tails Up Farm Daycare.

When interviewed by LEO Weekly, Cornelius said, “I had the idea in 2018 when I joined the social media department and made a few ‘posters’ using a combination of our Daycare dogs and stock photos. I continued with the project every year and gradually became more confident as I learned how to use a camera and improved my editing abilities. The goal going forward is to continue making a poster for every Best Picture nominee using our Tails Up Farm Daycare students and materials from thrift stores for their costumes.”

Meyer’s Animal House offers many services, including lodging, grooming, training, and, of course, the doggy daycare.

Cornelius explained how their doggy daycare system works: “We offer a program that runs on continuity, meaning our students are required to attend on a regular basis so the dogs can always be around familiar faces and establish friendships. The dogs love having both human and canine companionship during the day, and their parents enjoy being able to have a restful evening knowing their dog played all day while they were at work.”

Make sure to follow Meyer’s Animal House on Instagram or Tiktok, found as Meyers Pet Care, to see all future movie poster recreations! They are located in Northern Illinois, near Chicago, so stop by and visit the famous furry faces when in the area.
