We think costumes based on Louisville have a broad range of possibilities. So much happens in this city. So many festivals, so many cars smashing into buildings, so many coaches. These are wild times in the Louisville rodeo.

We came up with a few Halloween costume suggestions to get you ready for the holiday. We know some are a little crass but would it be LEO without a sideways take on local events?  Of course not!

With the help of a little terrible AI art, we’re just making the suggestion, we expect your creativity to do the rest.

We certainly welcome your suggestions. If you send us a photos with it, we’ll add it to the slideshow.

Costume Idea 1: Marty Pollio during the school year (on vacation) All you need is a polo to be Pollio, khaki’s, a belt but if you’re feeling frisky, toss on a blazer. starryai
Costume Idea 2: Marty Pollio after retirement (on vacation) Again: All you need is a polo to be Pollio, khaki’s, a belt but if you’re feeling frisky, toss on a blazer. starryai
Costume Idea 3: Lonely Cat Lady (with a huge voting box) According to JD Vance, you’re miserable so share that misery with a couple of good kitties and your big old voting box. Let Vance cry to his mommy about the outcome. Microsoft AI
Costume Idea 4: Mayor Greenberg dressed as a Dinosaur Because we’re not sure he’s really a Democrat. After all his buddying up with cops and now reviving an eons old masking ordinance, we think Greenberg’s one term is going on too long. Microsoft AI
Costume Idea 5: Sherman Minton Bridge. This lane is closed. For this you only need the orange vest and a lane to block. Even better if you shut down the whole road and reroute people to West Virginia to get home in Southern Indiana. starryai
Costume Idea 6: Mag Barred You could be wrecked and probably from drinking at Mag Bar, or try our couples version where one of you could be the bar and the other a car. This one might be better done in private. It’s a theme in Louisville. starryai
Costume Idea 7: The Can-Opener Part 1: A couple’s idea. One of you could be the semi and the other 3rd street underpass. Your relationship is probably a mess anyway so why not keep trying like these trucks keep trying this underpass. starryai
Costume Idea 8: The Can-Opener: Part 2 A couple’s idea. One of you could be the semi and the other 3rd street underpass. Your relationship is probably a mess anyway so why not keep trying like these trucks keep trying this underpass. Microsoft AI
Costume Idea 9: JD Vance’s Couch We know what you’ve been through, poor cushiony comrade. Don’t feel bad, just expect everyone to avoid sitting near you for the night. Bonus if you add eyeliner stains. Microsoft AI
Costume Idea 10: The DOJ Consent Decree With the city government and LMPD No need for a costume because you’re a secret and we haven’t seen you yet but you’re due to be finished this fall so we’re waiting. adobe
Costume Idea 11: The angry Gen X’er who hates Louder Than Life and thinks the music is too loud, but is secretly enjoying the free concert on their porch with a beer each night. We see you. We read your Facebook posts, And we laugh knowing you secretly enjoy every loud minute. starryai
Costume Idea 12: Local Concert Goer. Look cool in muddy boots and prove that you rocked out at the show. starryai
Costume Idea 13: A new baby animal at the zoo (Keep it cute, they’re not offensive but you certainly could be) starryai
Costume Idea 14: UofL Ex-Coach Leaving Town Not only is this a great costume but a great get-rich scheme. Get hired by UofL, Sign a huge contract, be terrible at the job, and force a contract buyout. Boom. starryai
Costume Idea 15: Andy Beshear torching JD Vance’s Ego “He Ain’t From Here.” You only need a good haircut from your local barber, a button down, some good dad vibes and a shriveled old bean (JD Vance’s hurt man pride) to toss into a bonfire. starryai
If you have other ideas, send us a picture and we’ll add it to the slideshow. Maybe, if it’s appropriate. We know how your minds work, Louisville. Keep it clean. starryai
