U of L has partnered with Louisville-area groups to form the Arts and Cultural Partnership Initiative. The outreach program is primarily educational, with a focus on internships.
Arts Council of Louisville is offering artists a free webpage in their 2009 Arts Book (www.louisville.artsbookusa.com). Training is March 12 from 6-8 p.m. in the Computer Learning Lab of the Louisville Free Public Library, 301 York St. Bring a flash drive with photos of art or arts activities, contact information, biography/description, e-mail address, website, text for personal messages or links, calendar of events and gallery. Conceptual photographer Lorna Simpson will discuss her recent work at 6 p.m. on March 12 at the Speed Art Museum (2035 S. Third St., 634-2700, www.speedmuseum.org). The event is free and is presented by RéVive.
