The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft (www.kentuckyarts.org) will host the Annual Artist Potluck Dinner on Thursday, March 11, from 6-8 p.m. This event is free. Everyone attending should bring a dish to share as well as his or her own reusable plate, cloth napkin, silverware and cup. Artists do not need to be KMAC members to attend but will have the opportunity to join that night. RSVP preferred.

The National Park Service selected a photograph of the Belle of Louisville as the first place winner of the 10th Annual National Historic Landmarks Photo Contest (www.nps.gov/nero/nhlphoto). The photograph, taken by Philip Groshong, is on the cover of the National Historic Landmarks 2010 planner calendar as well as the image for June.

The Muhammad Ali Center (www.alicenter.org) has announced it has begun a $10 million fundraising campaign to expand the museum’s outreach. The Legacy Campaign will fund the completion of the Muhammad Ali Archives and Research Center along with an expanded “visitor experience.” The center also plans to create an endowed chair for visiting scholars to conduct research on Ali based on the new archives.

The American Life and Accident Insurance Co. at 471 W. Main St. now has the largest privately owned vegetative roof in Kentucky.

Call for Art: The Howard Steamboat Museum (www.steamboatmuseum.org) in Jeffersonville is seeking art for its “Spring Into Art” juried show, with $1,000 in cash awards. Deadline is Feb. 27.

The Oldham County History Center (www.oldhamcountyhistoricalsociety.org) in La Grange is seeking art for its exhibition “From the River’s Edge.” They prefer art that depicts various perspectives of the Ohio River. Cash prizes. Deadline is April 1.
