Great Escape Louisville

Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Gallery K Free; Noon-4 p.m. Gallery K coffee shop and art gallery has moved from Butchertown to The Highlands. So to celebrate, spread the word, and meet the new neighbors, Gallery K is hosting a neighborhood art show.

Derby City Comic Con Kentucky International Convention Center $10-$35; 10 a.m. Get your geek on this weekend with the Derby City Comic Con. In addition to the many panels on writing, film making, cosplaying and general geekery, there also will be plenty of comic books and super-powered artistry to oogle. Continues Sunday.

Louisville City FC vs. FC Cincinnati Louisville Slugger Field $15-$40; 7:30 p.m. Louisville City FC has only been around for one season (and a half-ish), so it’s kind of preemptive to declare rivalries just yet, but FC Cincinnati is the closest team to us, and this weekend they are stepping on our turf (sounds like a rivalry in the making to me). So grab a beer, a pretzel or a hot dog, and cheer on our city’s pro-soccer team.

Movies & Chill Open Air Festival Waterfront Park Free; 6 p.m. Waterfront Park is being transformed this weekend into the largest free, open-air movie theater the city has ever seen. Pack your lawn chairs or picnic blanket, grab your friends and some snacks, and head toward the river for a night under the stars and in front of the silver screen.

Wussy, The Fervor, Frederick The Younger  Headliners Music Hall $10-$12; 9 p.m. Wussy — the Cincinnati veterans who are one of the most interesting and consistent indie bands of the last 15 years — and local favorites The Fervor and Frederick The Younger.
