Purr, SLAY, Sip: An Evening with Scarlet Envy of RuPaul’s Drag Race Purrfect Day Cat Cafe $45 | 7-7:30 p.m. and 8-8:30 p.m. Drag queens + cats = a fun combination. Drag superstar Scarlet Envy, who hails from Louisville and whom non-drag-savvy TikTokers will recognize from her viral Am I the drama? audio, will be doing two shows tonight at Purrfect Day Cat Cafe. Your reservation gets you a meet and greet, a timeslot with the cafes cats, and, of course, the chance to watch her perform. Tickets are limited, so get yours as soon as possible. Ages 16+ only.
Run for the Ropes (presented by Ohio Valley Wrestling) Fest-A-Ville at Waterfront Park Free with a Pegasus Pin | 6-7:30 p.m. Tonight, Ohio Valley Wrestling whose alumni include a few small, obscure wrestling names like John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, and Dave Bautista will put on its own Derby Festival event at Waterfront Park. There’ll be a meet-and-greet with current OVW wrestlers at 5 p.m., followed by six matches. Make sure you don’t miss the Every Man for Himself Free-for-All battle royale. Stick around for the Balloon Glow afterward.
Sixteen Candles The Ultimate 80s Tribute Mercury Ballroom $18 | 9 p.m. Sweet dreams (and Friday nights) are made of this. If you are, as Bowling for Soup once sang, still preoccupied with 1985 (and every other year in that decade), this dance party will get you on your feet. We predict lots of Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Prince, Bon Jovi, Journey, and Michael Jackson.

Cherokee Triangle Art Fair Willow Park Free | 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Come celebrate the 50th anniversary of this family-friendly event. With more than 200 artists and artisan booths, local food, beer and wine and live performances by Nervous Melvin & the Mistakes, Appalatin and more, mixed with a little good weather and old friends, this is the perfect way to spend a weekend.

Beltane Festivals Various Locations The growing interest in pre-Christian holidays is giving the community many opportunities to find celebrations that dont tie them to a church or temple but can give them a spiritual connection in other ways, often with nature. The Beltane celebrations are an example of those. Happening May 1, Beltane commemorates the midway point between spring and summer. It is the May Day celebration. Here are two you can attend in the Louisville area.
Bealtaine The Raven Irish Pub No cover | 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Beltane is a Gaelic festival, so its no surprise that The Raven Irish Pub is holding its own. There will be a drum circle, storytelling with the Ancient Order of the Hibernarians, a presentation on The Lore of Bealtaine from the Rev. Erika Rivertree, ogham (stone) readings and live music.
New Albany Beltane Festival Ravens Roost Boutique No cover | Noon-6 p.m. The witches of Ravens Roost Boutique present a family-friendly Beltane celebration with shopping, crafts, music, drinks, a drum circle, mini maypoles and more.
