MONDAY

Rare Louisville Live Seidenfaden's Cafe Free  |  8 p.m. For this edition of Mondo Video Night at Seidenfaden’s Cafe, there will be back-to-back showings of rare Louisville music videos, followed by a mixed bag of other music video goodies, and at the bar there will be $1 off drafts and wells specials.

Bourbon, Beer, Board Games Kaiju Free  |  7 p.m. The headline says it all. Grab your friends and head over to Kaiju for a night of bourbon, brews and boards games provided by Book & Music Exchange (Highlands). And don’t forget to add your own meta-drinking game on top of it all.

TUESDAY

Artasana 21c Museum Hotel $5  |  7 p.m. Practice the art of yoga, while surrounded by art, this Tuesday at 21c Museum Hotel. International yoga teacher, Ashley Baldwin of Soul Cleanse, will lead an hourlong Vinyasa yoga class with cocktails afterward. And don’t forget to bring your own mat!

Bountiful Buy Local Thank You Party Revelry Boutique Free (RSVP)  |  6 p.m. Yelp Louisville and the Louisville Independent Business Alliance want to spread holiday cheer this Wednesday at the third-annual Bountiful Buy Local Thank You. It’s your chance to “put your thanks to paper using the cards, pens, typewriters and other fun that Yelp will have available.” There will also be treats, drinks and a chance to do a little bit of holiday shopping.

Writers' Lodge Open Mic Featuring Heather Brandenburg Kaiju Free  |  9 p.m. Writers’ Lodge Open Mic is a chance for local poets, writers and others to get on stage (for 10 minutes spots) to riff, do spoken-word poetry or read passages of projects they are working on. This month’s MC and featured guest is writer Heather Brandenburg.

Exploring Kentucky’s Prehistoric Past Filson Historical Society Free (RSVP)  |  6 p.m. If the words Ark Park make you reflexively vomit, than this event is for you. And if the words Ark Park fill you with righteous joy, this event is also for you, because you need to educate yourself. This talk, by archaeologist John Hale, will take you on a tour of “prehistoric life in the Commonwealth — from the very earliest signs of nomadic hunters and gatherers, to the earliest tribes and villages.”

3rd Annual Holiday Gift Drive Decca Free  |  9 p.m. Make your booze money go a little further this weekend at Decca’s 3rd Annual Holiday Gift Drive. Every $5 you spend on items purchased (such as the infamous $5 Holla (Whiskey Shot and Beer), $5 House Wine and $5 Cocktail) will get you entry into a giveaway. But remember, this is also a gift drive, so make sure to bring some children's clothes, books or educational toys for the kids at Shelby Traditional Elementary.

Baby It’s Cold Outside Winter Extravaganza Play Free with donation (or $10)  |  7 p.m. Dear compassionate citizens of Louisville, the Derby City Bears and Derby City Sisters would like to invite you out for a winter extravaganza with a cause. There will be performances by Louisville Gay Men's Chorus, VOICES of Kentuckiana and the best damn drag queens around, as well as an ugly winter sweater contest and photos with a naughty Santa. And the best part of it all, is that this extravaganza will benefit the House of Ruth, which offers housing and support services to people who are HIV-positive. If you bring a new or gently-used winter coats, hats, scarves, gloves, etc., you can get in for free!

First Friday at TFG Tim Faulkner Gallery Free  |  6 p.m. Join the wonderful people over at Tim Faulkner Gallery as they celebrate the first Friday of December with new work in their Main Gallery by local artists. And as with all the first Friday celebrations at TFG, expect live music, refreshing cocktails and interesting company.

"Diners Drive-ins and Dives" Viewing Party Grind Burger Kitchen Free  |  7 p.m. As you may recall, we here at LEO are fascinated by Guy Fieri. And not so long ago, he graced Louisville’s own Grind Burger Kitchen with his presence for the show “Diners, Drive Ins and Dives.” This Friday, the restaurant's episode will premiere on the Food Network, and to celebrate everyone is invited to a viewing party. There will be plenty of beer and drink specials to keep spirits high, but the food menu will be limited, and the kitchen closes at 9 p.m. (so everyone can enjoy the show).
