Grab your Hawaiian shirt, hula skirt, and flip flops, because Louisville is getting a taste of the islands this summer as Island Rock Fest makes its debut on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Lou Lou on Market.

The free, day-long outdoor music festival will feature live island rock, reggae, coastal country, and beach-inspired music from noon to 9:30 p.m., creating a tropical-themed entertainment experience in the heart of Louisville.

Produced by Jared Fox Matthews and Brian Brohman in collaboration with the Derby Parrothead Club, the inaugural event is designed for fans of artists such as Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Bob Marley, and Jack Johnson.

The music lineup:

In addition to live music, attendees can expect tropical-inspired food and beverages, sponsor activations, and a laid-back summer atmosphere.

Some of the Island delights:

Appetizer: Shrimp Ceviche with house made Fried Plantain Chips.

Entree: Rock Island Jerk Grouper w/ Mashed Sweet Potatoes & Braised Cabbage

The festival will also support a charitable cause. The Derby Parrothead Club will continue its support of the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Kentucky & Southern Indiana through raffle and auction items donated by club members, community supporters, and participating musical artists.

While tickets aren’t required to attend, they are highly recommended. Tickets are free with no ticketing fees and will give you priority in case of an overflow crowd, plus you will be entered for some giveaways.
