Racing Louisville FC had its 2026 home opener on Friday, March 20th. As Louisville’s only top-tier professional sports team, the beginning of this new season felt monumental.
In the spirit of Happy Hour that happens the first hour the gates are open, fans were out and about early to celebrate before the game kicked off. Tony and the Tan Lines serenaded the crowd with throwback tunes while a stunning Louisville sunset unfolded in front of the stadium.
Racing won the inaugural Women’s Cup in 2021 against FC Bayern Munich and took it home again last year in 2025, proving that these women are a big deal.
You can definitely pick up on that energy when being around the fans. The crowd was decked out in all the merch, showing the ultimate support.
It’s easy to see why Racing fans are so dedicated, and it is truly a beautiful thing to see, as women’s sports are often overlooked.

The night ended with fireworks, which concluded another fantastic night at Lynn Family Stadium. Be sure to catch the women of Racing dominating the field and showing their dynamic athleticism. The home season runs until November 1.
