Tailspin Ale Festival

Saturday, March 7
Tailspin Ale Fest
Bowman Field | 2700 Gast Blvd. | tailspinalefest.com | $60 (general admission) | 3 p.m. | 21 and over

Craft beer aficionados, prepare for takeoff! Tailspin Ale Festival, Louisville’s premiere craft beer festival, is gearing up for their 13th year, and this one will be the biggest and best yet! Get ready for an immersive event like no other – Louisville’s Winter Warmer is more than a craft beer lovers’ festival, it is one of the biggest social events in Louisville celebrating the end of winter.

Voted one of USA Today’s 10 Best beer festivals, Tailspin Ale Fest will host more than 50 breweries from not only Kentucky and Indiana, but also across America, pouring more than 250 beers. Expect several rare and limited releases, special tappings, and first-time available beers alongside flagship, seasonal, and fan-favorites. You’ll also be able to enjoy beer samples paired with premium cigars at Cox’s Cigar Lounge, ten rotating taps of barrel-aged beers in the Bourbon Barrel Beer Bar, dedicated bars highlighting ciders and sour beers, and the Women in Beer showcase.

Craft beer may be the highlight, but that’s far from all there is to see and do. Legendary pro wrestling promotion and stars of the Netflix docuseries Wrestlers, OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling), return to Tailspin once again with several high-energy, high-flying matches planned.

And making their Tailspin debut will be the Red Bull Air Force! Known for pushing the boundaries of flight, the Red Bull Air Force makes the impossible possible – whether in a plane, a helicopter, or with their own bodies via skydiving or wingsuit flying. Although details have yet to be announced, expect an absolutely incredible show from these daredevils.

And that’s not all. Grab a pair of headphones and get ready to dance at Drake’s silent disco. Listen to live music from the likes of Tony & The Tan Lines, 100% Poly, and more. Catch the games in the Watch Lounge. Plus, there will be a wide assortment of local vendors, a wide variety of food trucks, snack vendors, photo opportunities, raffles, silent auctions, tons of giveaway freebies from the breweries, and, of course, planes on display.

Thinking about holding off on getting tickets? Don’t! Tailspin is advance tickets only, with no ticket sales available the day of the festival. VIP is already sold out, and general admission tickets are going fast and WILL sell out shortly! Tickets include a souvenir taster cup, unlimited samples, and free water. Designated driver tickets, hotel packages, shuttle service, and premium and private potty passes are also available through the Tailspin website.

The festival runs from 3:00-7:00 p.m. for general admission ticket holders. If you were lucky enough to grab a VIP ticket, you’ll get in an hour early at 2:00 p.m.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Pints for Parkinson’s and TKO, who have joined together to raise money to support our local community affected with Parkinson’s. TKO Parkinson’s is a Louisville-based 501 (c) 3 that provides a 100% free boxing program for people fighting against the progression of Parkinson’s.

Trust me, you don’t want to miss this!
