Southern Crossings Pottery Festival

Every year, the Southern Crossings Pottery Festival (SXPF) brings the cultural and historical significance of pottery to the forefront while also contributing to addressing hunger among children in the Louisville community. Held at Ten20 Craft Brewery on March 7th and 8th, the event seeks to examine how a bowl can provide nourishment to both the individual and the community at large. SXPF believes that the diverse nature of pottery is a reflection of the diversity of the people who make and use it. The festival commits to its mission of the inclusion of all and valuing the perspectives of all.

Nationally renowned ceramic artists continue to return to this festival with new innovations within contemporary ceramics. This year will feature the following artists: Marko Biddle, Ray Brown, Amy Chase, Steven G Cheek, Nancy Diaz-Metz, Yoshi Fujii, Samantha Hostert, Bill Jones, Marret Metzger, Lindsay Oesterritter, Austin Riddle, Brianna Shimer and Sara Truman. The 2025 Pottery Market will consist of the sale of these artists’ wares, an artist panel discussing “community,” and an Empty Bowls Fundraiser in support of those affected by the recent natural disasters through the Craft Emergency Relief Fund.
