Southgate remains a gem in the rough as they shine brightly during their latest performance at PBR last Thursday night. Sierra Willis

Kentucky holds some of the best music, yet not many people know about all the hidden gems you can find.

You find it in the hidden crevices and you never know who will be the next upcoming artist/ band.

One of those upcoming bands is being introduced as Southgate.

Originated by lead Austin Mounce, the band consist of Adam Keith on the drums, lead guitarist, Wyatt Crutcher. Colby Pedro playing bass, and Ezra Major on guitar.

The band performed for the first time in Louisville this past Thursday at PBR Louisville located at 4th Street LIVE!

Southgate brought original tunes and a handful of classic covers.

Riley Green’s “Worst Way,” Trace Adkins “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” and Ole 60 “Smoke & A Light” was among a few of the covers.

Original songs like “Fall” were also included.
