In its January/February issue, Southern Living highlighted Momma’s Mustard, Pickles & BBQ’s smoked wings at its Bauer Avenue location as one of the best places in the South for chicken wings.

After extensive travel and tastings throughout the region, food writer and television host Matt Moore put together a new survey of notable wings throughout the South for the magazine’s January/February issue. Range and regional character are prioritized over competition in this unranked list. Momma’s Mustard, Pickles & BBQ, a Louisville eatery renowned for its consistency, as noted by Moore.

Moore emphasized the restaurant’s Bauer Avenue location in St. Matthews, highlighting its signature smoked wings. Moore mentions in the article that diners, drive-ins, and dives used to be drawn to the wings, a reference that reflects rather than adds to the restaurant’s established local reputation.

“These smoked wings earned Guy Fieri’s “Triple D” praise, something locals have been giving them since the beginning,” he said in his short blurb review.

Momma’s Mustard, Pickles & BBQ has amassed a devoted following through years of consistent praise, numerous Best of Louisville honors, and national exposure via the Food Network.
