Time Slip Theatre will present the first local production of Jagged Little Pill The Musical, bringing Alanis Morissette’s landmark 1995 album to the Louisville stage later this month.

The Tony Award–winning musical runs January 30 through February 8 at Actors Theatre of Louisville, 316 W. Main St., in a community partnership with Actors Theatre of Louisville.

Jagged Little Pill‘ preview

Premiering on Broadway in 2019, Jagged Little Pill is set to Morissette’s iconic rock album and centers on the seemingly perfect Healy family in suburban Connecticut. Beneath their polished exterior, however, are struggles with addiction, identity, trauma and truth. When a shocking incident disrupts the community, each character is forced to confront who they are and what must change.

The show features Morissette classics including “You Oughta Know,” “Ironic,” “All I Really Want,” “You Learn” and more.

The production is directed by Remy Sisk and Myranda Thomas. Tickets are $28 and are available through actorstheatre.org.

Jagged Little Pill is the second installment in Time Slip Theatre’s three-part season. The series began with Who Invited Them in August and concludes with Edgar Allan Poe’s The Masque of the Red Death in May.

Proceeds from the production will support the revitalization of Time Slip Theatre’s new home, a historic church in Old Louisville at 100 W. Ormsby Ave. The space is being transformed into a theater and community arts hub that will house mainstage productions and an after-school children’s program.
