Mellwood Art Center will host the 12th Annual Gravy Cup on March 1, 2025 from 9-12pm. Professional chefs and home cooks will showcase their recipes to a panel of professional and celebrity judges. Categories include Traditional, Non-Traditional, and Vegetarian/Vegan. Attendees also have a chance to vote for the People’s Choice Award.
More Than Just Gravy
The morning will offer exclusive merchandise, live music, a selfie station, and a cash bar. A children’s area is also available for the younger crowd.
Gravy for Good
The Gravy Cup isn’t just a celebration of culinary talent—it’s also a critical fundraiser for Boys & Girls Haven, a private nonprofit organization that has been transforming the lives of Kentucky youth in foster care for nearly 75 years. All proceeds from the event will support Boys & Girls Haven’s mission to shelter, heal, and teach children and young adults to become resilient members of the community.
“The Gravy Cup is for anyone who likes to have fun, eat food, and give back to the community,” says Misty Perkins – a participant in last year’s Gravy Cup contest, in a press release.
Each year, Boys & Girls Haven serves more than 500 children and families through six core programs, including Residential Therapeutic Foster Care, Transitional Living, and Animal-Assisted therapy. By attending The Gravy Cup, guests help raise funds and awareness for the more than 17,000 children in Kentucky who suffer abuse or neglect, ensuring Boys & Girls Haven can continue to provide a home and a future for those in need.
