Throughout November and December, Norton Commons, which is home to over 130 locally owned stores, eateries and service providers, will celebrate the season with three special holiday shopping events.
The shops and restaurants in the pedestrian-friendly neighborhood will provide exclusive deals, joyous occasions, and customs that have come to define Prospect’s holiday season.
This year, Norton Commons has seen the opening of 14 new companies. The North Village Market cottages (6301 Moonseed Street) will welcome back six more small merchants for the season, offering a changing selection of home décor, clothing, gifts and artwork created by Kentucky artists.
The Holiday Preview, held on Saturday, Nov. 8, kicks off the festivities as local stores introduce new seasonal goods and décor. Shop Small Saturday follows on Nov. 29, bringing giveaways, pop-ups, refreshments, and exclusive discounts from more than 30 businesses.
A week after, The Holiday Open House, which takes place on Saturday, Dec. 6, will feature holiday treats, in-store specials, and well-loved customs that support Toys for Tots. These include free carriage and sleigh rides from 5 to 7 p.m. and the opportunity to take pictures with Santa from 4 to 6 p.m. in exchange for a donation of a new, unwrapped toy.
