David Catlin’s eerie new adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein will be the next Halloween tradition from Kentucky Shakespeare. The company’s headquarters in Old Louisville will host the Louisville premiere from October 1 to 26.
Catlin’s rendition of the gothic legend of Victor Frankenstein and his tragic creation was first presented in 2019 by Chicago’s highly regarded Lookingglass Theatre Company.
About the Production
Zachary Burrell, Sasha Cifuentes, Mollie Murk, Nick Wills, and Crystian Wiltshire are the five members of the ensemble cast in the Louisville production, which is directed by Kentucky Shakespeare Producing Artistic Director Matt Wallace.
Award-winning designers Jesse AlFord (lighting), Karl Anderson (scenic), Laura Ellis (sound), and Donna Lawrence-Downs (costumes) are part of the creative team. Justin Jackson choreographs the fight scenes, Joy Lanceta Coronel coaches dialects, and Hannah Pruitt directs intimacy.
