La Chasse, a Highlands favorite since 2015, has closed suddenly due to ownership changes and financial struggles affecting both it and sister restaurant The Champagnery. Only In Your State

A well-known Highlands restaurant, La Chasse on Bardstown Road, abruptly closed its doors in late July. The shutdown came just days after owner Isaac Fox announced plans to transfer ownership of the property. A sign on the restaurant’s door confirmed the immediate closure.

The news follows the sudden closure of Fox’s other restaurant, The Champagnery on Frankfort Avenue, which ended operations the same week. Employees at both locations say they were not given advance notice. La Chasse had been open since 2015, while The Champagnery operated for seven years.

Fox has not responded to requests for comment, and it remains unclear who the new owner of La Chasse is. A GoFundMe page launched by Fox suggests financial strain played a role in the closures. The future of both restaurant spaces remains uncertain.
