Theyll be reading from and discussing their latest works: Perfect Black by Wilkinson and My Old Kentucky Home: The Astonishing Life and Reckoning of an Iconic American Song by Bingham.

Chalk Walk Jeffersontown City Hall Free | 4-7 p.m. You bring the creativity, Jeffersontown city government will provide the art supplies to decorate the sidewalks of Watterson Trail.
Signature 2: Pictures at an Exhibition Cralle Theatre, Bellarmine University Free | 7 p.m. The Louisville Civic Orchestra presents a free concert of music inspired by non-musical things like the legacy of Rome (Rienzi), Spain (Three Cornered Hat) and an art gallery (Pictures at an Exhibition).
THURSDAY, May 12
The Trestle At Pope Lick Creek Carbon Copy Pay what you can | 7:30 p.m. You may experience a spark of familiarity with the title of this play. Its not about Louisville, but it did debut at the Actors Theatre of Louisvilles Festival of New American Plays. In a rural town during the Great Depression, two teens devise a plan to race across a railway trestle against an oncoming train. Martin French directs this production of the play, which runs through May 17. Admission is pay-what-you-can, but donations are encouraged.
Thunderdome: Thunderdome Planet of the Tapes Free | 8 p.m. The theme of this weeks Thunderdome at Planet of the Tapes is Thunderdome. Come to see how your favorite comedians interpret the most meta theme yet.
FRIDAY, May 13
Mt Washington Spring Festival Downtown Mt Washington No cover | 4-10 p.m. Head south of Louisville to Mt Washington for a community spring festival with carnival rides, over 100 booths, live music, karaoke and a Lions Club fish fry.
Old Louisville LIVE: The Crashers Central Park Free | 8-10 p.m. The outdoor Old Louisville LIVE concert series returns to picturesque Central Park. First up is the iconic Louisville cover band, The Crashers.
Until the Next Variant Improv Show Garner LARGEPay what you can | 8:30-9:30 p.m. We hope youve been saving up your laughs, because this Friday is the Louisville Improvisers first indoor show in two-and-a-half-years. The hilarity will take place in a new Highlands art gallery, Garner LARGE.
Halfway to Halloween Silent Disco Falls City Brewing Co. $5 for headphones | 9 p.m.-midnight Cant wait for Halloween? Put on a costume and come out for a silent disco party at Falls City. There will be headphones available, playing three channels of toe-tapping tunes.
