Starting Wednesday, October 23, 2024, eligible Jefferson County residents can cast their in-person excused absentee ballots.
Voting will take place at Crowne Plaza Hotel (Coronet A), 830 Phillips Lane, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on October 23, 24, 25, 28, 29 and 30.
Jefferson County Clerk Bobbie Holsclaw emphasized the commitment to voter accessibility, stating, “We aim to ensure every eligible voter has the opportunity to vote, accommodating a variety of needs.”
Voting Locations For No-Excuse Absentee Voting In Louisville
No-excuse absentee voting will be from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the following places in Louisville:
- Berrytown Recreation Center at 1300 Heafer Road.
- Bowman Field-Administration Building at 2815 Taylorsville Road.
- Cyril Allgeier Community Center at 4101 Cadillac Court.
- Epiphany United Methodist Church at 7032 Southside Drive.
- Goodwill Opportunity Campus at 2820 W. Broadway.
- Immanuel United Church of Christ at 2300 Taylorsville Road.
- Jefferson County Clerk’s Office-West Branch at 228 Amy Ave.
- Kentucky Center for African American Heritage at 1701 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd.
- Lyndon Elks Lodge #2052 at 904 Ormsby Lane.
- New Zion Baptist Church at 1501 Louis Coleman Jr. Drive.
- Okolona Christian Church at 10801 Faithful Way.

Do I qualify For Excused Voting In Jefferson County?
To qualify for an excused absentee ballot, voters must meet one of ten specific criteria, such as being out of the county on election day or due to a medical condition.
Those criteria include:
- Voter is a resident of Kentucky who is a covered voter as defined in KRS 117A.010,who will be absent from the county of his or her residence on the day of an election and during the days of no-excuse in-person absentee voting.
- Voter, or spouse of voter, who has surgery scheduled that will require hospitalization on the day of an election and during the days of no-excuse in-person absentee voting.
- Voter who temporarily resides outside the state but is still eligible to vote in this state and will be absent from the county of his or her residence on the day of an election and during the days of no-excuse in-person absentee voting. - Voter is a resident of Kentucky who is a uniformed-service voter as defined in KRS 117A.010 confined to a military base on election day and during the days of no-excuse in-person absentee voting.
- Voter who is in her last trimester of pregnancy.
- Voter who has not been declared mentally disabled by a court of competent jurisdiction and, due to age, disability, or illness, is not able to appear at the polls on election day and during the days of no-excuse in-person absentee voting.
- Voter who is a student who temporarily resides outside the county of his or her residence and will be absent from the county of his or her residence on the day of an election and during the days of no-excuse in-person absentee voting.
- Voter who is employed in an occupation that is scheduled to work during all days and all hours, which shall include commute time, the polls are open on election day and during the days of no-excuse in-person absentee voting.
- Voter who is an election officer tasked with election administration for the current election cycle.
- Voter, who is a person, prevented from voting in-person at the polls on election day and from casting a no-excuse in-person absentee ballot on all days no-excuse in- person absentee voting is conducted because he or she will be absent from the county of his or her residence during all days and hours no excuse in-person absentee voting is conducted.
