High Horse Bar will be moving to a new neighborhood next year. @highhorsebar

High Horse Bar is moving to a new neighborhood in Louisville.

The best bar in Butchertown has its sights set on a new neighborhood: NuLu. With stiff competition in one of the busiest parts of the city, High Horse has a high bar to reach with its fabulous drink selections.

Our Readers’ Choice winner is downsizing to a smaller space on East Market Street, but as of Wednesday, Oct. 9 there is no news on whether the iconic sign will be on the move as well.

In an Instagram post from High Horse Bar, the well-known spot said it will be on the move over the next three months.

“The future of High Horse is much smaller and bar focused. It will be a living and breathing tribute to what a bar is and the bar industry itself. We are going to take the wide range of emotions that we have soaked in, package them into a new space and tell a new story without forgetting who we are and where we came from. What we have is an energy, not a building, and while we hate to leave a place that we literally built with our hands, we are hyped about our future in nulu.”

The new High Horse Bar will be located at 810 East Market St. early next year.
