On Tuesday, July 28, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., the Food Literacy Project’s Youth Community Agriculture Project (YCAP) will activate “Grain Pit,” a sculpture installed in Republic Bank as part of Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft’s “Food Shelter Clothing” exhibition. They will be selling fresh vegetables they grew and harvested at Oxmoor Farm. They are also offering educational activities through the Food Literacy Project’s Truck Farm — a mobile, edible learning garden planted in the back of a pickup truck — and giving a presentation on what they’ve learned spending a summer growing and distributing fresh vegetables. A formal presentation will be given at 12 p.m. Republic Bank, 601 W. Market St. (kmacmuseum.org).

The Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA) is looking to hire a Program Manager. To apply, send your cover letter and resume to Executive Director Carrie Nath at cnath@kentuckycenter.org. Applications must be submitted no later than Friday, July 31 to be considered. The goals of the position include: to advance the administrative functions of the GSA by providing leadership, supervision, organization and administration of its offices and programmatic functions and to collaborate internally with Development, Communications, Education and other departments to advance the goals and objectives of The Kentucky Center for the Arts and GSA (kentuckygsa.org).

The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft is also hosting a can drive as part of their “Food Shelter Clothing” exhibition through Friday, July 31. Bring two cans to the museum, 715 W. Main St., for a 10% discount in the KMAC Shop (kmacmuseum.org).
