Louisville-based visual artists Ashley Brossart and Rich Merwarth will open their side-by-side solo exhibitions at Aurora Gallery and Boutique in Shelby Park on March 23.

Brossart’s multimedia “Intersections and Places Between” explores the intersection of human-made architecture and the natural world and asks the view to consider the way the divine feminine effects our physical environments.

Merwarth’s highly pigmented “Errata Regatta” presents a view of existential challenges we confront in the contemporary American society, particularly the tension between hope and despair, resilience and resignation. Merwarth hopes to remind viewers that “even in the face of adversity, there is potential for renewal and charting new paths forward.”

The artists will be present to discuss their work, and light refreshments will be provided. The exhibition will be open until April 21.
