October is Filipino American History Month, and the Asia Institute-Crane House is celebrating with its first ever Filipino American Heritage Picnic this Sunday, Oct. 17.
Its a potluck, so bring something of your own for a delicious, authentic Filipino feast at EP Tom Sawyer State Park.
There will also be folk dance performances and more family-friendly fun.
Americas Filipino population has steadily climbed over the last 20 years or so, with over 4 million Filipinos living in the United States in 2019. Louisvilles Crane House is all about helping the citys Asian communities share their heritage through educational and cultural programs.
