Louisville Slugger Field $5; 4 p.m. There are so many things to tell you about BrewFest the many local breweries, wineries and restaurants that will be there, the Brewseum and speciality beers made just for this special occasion, the pre-parties at Manny & Merles, Joellas Hot Chicken or any BoomBozz Restaurant, or the afterparty at Haymarket Whiskey Bar. But alas, Ive run out of room. Youll just have to go check it for yourself.
SATURDAY
NuLu Fest
700 block of East Market Street (aka NuLu) Free; 11 a.m. The Louisville Beer Store will provide the brewskies, Sonablast Records will provide the jams, a whole fleet of food trucks will provide the noms while you and all your friends provide the good times. Its a win, win
win? We all win! Hooray!
Portland Art Festival
Tim Faulkner Art Gallery Free; 10 a.m. If you havent heard by now, the Portland area is going through a renaissance. And the Tim Faulkner Art Gallery has been at the forefront of this cultural revolution. So, if you have been looking for an excuse to check out the West End scene, you should get your ass down to this festival. There will be art exhibits, art vendors and trolley tours of the Portland area (including the Portland Locks). Not to mention all the live music and delicious food trucks.
Irish Fest
Bellarmine University $8; 11 a.m. Whether you trace your roots to Ireland or just happen to love their whiskey and beer, everyone is welcome to this amazing festival! Held on Bellarmine Universitys beautiful campus, there will be plenty of Irish-centric music, vendors, food and alcohol to enjoy. And if you can remain sober long enough, you might even learn something about the deep history and influence of the Irish in Kentucky. #TheMoreYouKnow

Kidney Walk
Waterfront Park (Great Lawn) Free (donations); 1 p.m. Ready to sweat the booze of BrewFest, NuLu Fest and Irish Fest out of your system? Well, dont just do it at home on the treadmill
head to Waterfront Park, where you and your friends can participate in the annual Kidney Walk. Its a noncompetitive fundraiser that calls attention to kidney disease and the need for organ donation. Routes vary from one mile to about three. Easy peasy, and its for a good cause.
