Halloween Events And Attractions At Kentucky State Parks

Saturday, the good folks at The Cure Lounge invite you to a Halloween Party Like No Other. Hosted in part by DJ Springbreak Forever, The Cure Lounge will be transformed into a ghostly good time for all sorts of shenanigans and spooky madness. There will be music by Boner City and a Misfits cover band alongside a Tinderbox Circus Sideshow, a haunted house and an obligatory costume contest.

As Springbreak Forever explains, “It’s basically a house party inside a bar where everyone is invited and can have a good time. We’re not just focused on one aspect of celebrating Halloween, we’ve got it all under one roof and your $10 admission even includes a shot of Four Roses bourbon. How can you pass that up?”

Given the premise, how do Halloween and the spirit of spring break coexist? According to Springbreak Forever, it “is about letting yourself go and getting wild with your friends. No regrets and no judgments. I think Halloween is a time for people to let themselves out of their shells a bit. And, of course, I’m going to be playing a lot of my typical ’80s/’90s/early ’00s hip hop, R&B and rap, but throwing in a couple songs for the occasion, so I’m hoping the night will continue on late into the morning like that scene in  ‘Hocus Pocus.’”

That vibe will be on display Saturday, and the good DJ has a few tips for the costume contest. He explains, “There will be three categories — unique/funny, most original and best overall. Originality and creativity will be a good indicator of someone who deserves to win. I highly suggest you come dressed to impress.”

It’s going to be a helluva party: “The bar is closed on Sunday to clean up and for everyone to recover.”
