Inspired by an experiment that CityBeat, our sister paper in Cincinnati (or, rather, Quuenny Coiny) recently tried, we wanted to see what would happen if StarryAI, an AI “artist,” drew some Louisville landmarks and icons.
The result: it failed, as we expected, but the results were hilarious. Granted, some of its “photos” were better than others the Muhammad Ali rendering wasn’t too bad but in so many cases, it created buildings that didn’t exist, reimagined interiors and exteriors, misread a prompt, fucked up some in-picture spelling, or made up new people altogether.
