With its yearly Fanfare for the 4th concert, scheduled Sunday, July 6, at 3 p.m. at St. Matthews Baptist Church (3515 Grandview Ave.), the Louisville Chorus welcomes the audience to an emotional and musical celebration of America’s freedom.

This family-friendly event is free and accessible to the public. Future events will be funded in part by a $15 recommended gift.

Combining choral works, instrumental performances and multimedia storytelling, the concert commemorates past and present America’s heroes. Highlights cover:

  • A tribute to local fallen heroes
  • Recognition of active-duty military and veterans
  • Color guard presentation by the Louisville-Thruston
  • Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution
  • Guest musicians on trumpet, flute, and percussion
  • Classic patriotic favorites and reflective moments led by Artistic Director Dr. David Borman

“This concert isn’t just about music—it’s about memory, gratitude, and unity,” said Borman. “We invite everyone to join us as we celebrate our country and those who’ve served it.”
