Mo Mo’s Catering Service & Noshery has opened a new storefront in the Highlands, and it’s more than just a place to eat. Started by Barbara Marquez after she returned to college in her 50s, the business has been catering to the community for over ten years. With a new location off Baxter Avenue, they’re now offering even more.
“My mom, Barb Marquez, began her catering business after going back to college in her 50s and deciding to pursue a career in catering,” says Amber, Barbara’s daughter. “Through her love for cooking and bringing people together with food and hosting, she’s framed a wonderful following in the community.”
What started in a local commissary kitchen has grown into a cozy storefront full of personality. Mo Mo’s serves breakfast burritos, sandwiches, daily specials like pot roast, “grab’ n go” drinks and meals, and frozen “take n bakes” for home. They’ve teamed up with Suzie Brown’s Bakery to offer fresh baked goods and menu favorites like biscuits and gravy.
The space also works as a private event venue for up to 50 people, with both indoor seating and a back patio full of flowers and greenery. Amber describes it as having “a warm and friendly but ‘not too serious’ feel.”
Whether you’re stopping in for a quick breakfast, lunch on the patio, or planning a special event, Mo Mo’s is bringing people together through good food.
