As downtown Louisville continues to better its arts and nightlife scene, the Louisville Comedy Club is quickly becoming one of its most popular locations.
Located at 110 West Main Street, the club has become a key fixture in the downtown revival, attracting audiences with a steady rotation of national headliners, themed showcases, and opportunities for local performers. Since opening, it has positioned itself as a year-round destination for live comedy in a city with deep cultural roots.
Comedian and actor Eddie Griffin will perform at the club on June 7 and 8. With a career spanning over 30 years, Griffin is known for his sharp stand-up and starring in shows such as Undercover Brother and his hit sitcom Malcolm & Eddie. He has also made memorable appearances on Chappelle’s Show, The Boondocks, and numerous comedy specials.
Also scheduled for the coming month is Corey Holcomb, who will perform on June 13 and 14. Holcomb, known for his unfiltered takes on relationships and culture, has been featured on Def Comedy Jam, MADtv, BET Plus, and Last Comic Standing. His candid style has made him a favorite among fans of bold, socially aware comedy.
Additional performances in June include Heather Shaw on June 12 and Josh Wolf on June 20 and 21. Shaw is known for her quick delivery and viral sketches, while Wolf brings experience from Chelsea Lately and stand-up specials.
The club is also expanding its digital presence with a free online special featuring comedian Gabriel Rutledge, titled “What Do I Do For A Living.” The crowd work special, now available at barkcomedy.com, captures the improvisational spirit that defines live comedy.
Looking ahead, the venue will showcase local talent on July 27 with The Best of Louisville Comedy Club, featuring returning performers who have gained recognition through the club’s weekly events. Regular programming includes New Talent Tuesday, Roastamania, open mic nights, and themed performances such as Now That’s What We Call Drag.
The comedy club is proving to be a key part of the city’s nightlife restoration as Louisville works to restore momentum downtown. It offers not only consistent entertainment but also a platform for both emerging voices and veteran performers.
