The Louisville Pride Foundation has announced that celebrated performer, songwriter, and producer Durand Bernarr will headline the 2025 Louisville Pride Festival, slated for Saturday, Sept. 6, from 11 AM to 10 PM on Bardstown Road.
Celebrated for his soulful voice and honest genre experimentation, Grammy-nominated singer Bernarr has collaborated with big names such as Erykah Badu, Anderson .Paak, and Kaytranada. His breakthrough 2023 Tiny Desk concert and 2025 Grammy nomination for En Route confirmed his dominant voice in progressive R&B and gay artistry.
“Decades: Resistance and Hope Through The Years,” the Pride Festival theme for this year, highlights the history of resilience and forward momentum of the LGBTQ+ community. Bernarr, who boldly identifies as LGBT, shows this legacy with his vibrant work and public awareness.
“Durand Bernarr embodies the spirit of queer excellence and musical freedom,” said Ebony Cross, Executive Director of the Louisville Pride Foundation. “His artistry is as vibrant and diverse as our community, and we can’t wait for him to light up the main stage.”
Celebrated in its tenth year, the Louisville Pride Festival has evolved into one of the most important cultural events in the city with:
- Two tiers of live entertainment
- Over 100 affirming merchants
- Family-friendly and health-conscious pursuits
- Local food trucks and choices for craft beverages
Admission is free and open to all. Don’t miss your chance to see an outstanding performance by Durand Bernarr and a full day of music, pride, and celebration.
