Toast On Market To Close Louisville Location, Reopen New Albany Location

Toast on Market, a brunch restaurant in NuLu, announced on social media yesterday that they will be closing their Louisville location and reopening their New Albany location.

In the post, co-owner George Morris shared that the Louisville restaurant’s last day will be Sunday, May 22. After the Louisville location closes, he and co-owner Amy Wepf and their whole staff will move to the New Albany location, which will reopen on June 1. Once that’s up and running, Morris will officially retire and move to Florida.

The New Albany location closed in 2020 because it was too small to allow for social distancing, according to a comment on an Instagram post.

Morris wrote, “It has been a joy sharing the last 16 years with all of you. Thank you for all the memories and for sharing your friends, your families, and all of your special moments with us. This truly would not have been possible without your love and support.”

In the meantime, Toast on Market is open in Louisville at 620 East Market Street from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
