The House speaker wants Bevin investigated on allegations that he threatened a state lawmaker over the phone for having refused to switch his party to Republican. Open-ish records law | Thorn Assistant Attorney General Amye Bensenhaver, one of the states authorities on open records and open meetings laws, retired after being reprimanded because she talked with a reporter without permission. Richard Beliles, chairman of Common Cause Kentucky, perhaps put it best when he told Kentucky Today: I think that it is ironic that this woman is being reprimanded for speaking to a journalist when she is so closely associated with the principle of government transparency.
Finally, a use for Faceplant | Rose Dennie Humphrey, owner of the Monkey Wrench bar-restaurant on Barret Avenue, posted on his Faceplant page the surveillance photos of two burglars who stole $1,500 in cash and a banjo. The post was shared almost 2,500 times, and the media also reported it. Now, two men are under arrest, about which Humphrey said: The city of Louisville prevails ...
