The Bar Belle: The Toke Not Taken

Smoking, choking,
The government is interloping.

On our rights, our fights, our lights,
A sitting duck in their sights.

No drags, no pulls, no tokes to take,
No trays, no cinder, no sense to make.

Bonds we have made, our freedoms we trade,
Outsiders banished to dark shadows in shade.

Clean air, no fair,
Double standards for a mare.

No fags, it’s queer.
Nothing to sidecar with our beer.

Liberty’s ashes turn to dust,
One more inhale we must.

The tyrants hi-five with glee,
Louisville is now smoke-free.
