‘Snappy Madness,’ indeed
During this year’s annual March Madness, Snappy Tomato pizza offers a special promotion that will result in more than 500 free pizzas to walk-in customers, as well as a catered pizza party for the NCAA men’s final game. During the course of the NCAA men’s basketball tourney, on all game days, the first 10 walk-ins who enter any of the five Snappy Tomato locations and says, “I’m here for Snappy Madness,” will receive a free large specialty pizza. Also, anyone coming in or ordering a pizza can enter to win the free catered party. The winner will be notified the week of the NCAA men’s championship game. Le Relais’ special dinners
Le Relais French restaurant, 2817 Taylorsville Road, will hold special dinners March 15 and April 19. The March 15 dinner fill feature cuisine from Northern France, while the April 19 event will feature cuisine from Southern France. Shariat headed to New York ... again
Chef Anoosh Shariat will ring in the Persian New Year March 20 with a special dinner at the James Beard House in New York, his third such appearance at the Julia Child-founded landmark that is named after the father of American cuisine. To continue the celebration, Shariat will also create a special March menu for Park Place on Main here in Louisville that will feature rotating daily specials with items like tamarind baked fish, grilled shrimp in saffron and Seville orange sauce, and sumac and mint-roasted lamb chop, along with many others.
