What Belongs At Louisville's Notorious Waterfront Park Location?
Pig Beach BBQ shut down over two weeks ago. What should be there instead?
When Waterfront Park's Pig Beach BBQ shut down, many Louisville residents were shocked at either how long it stayed or how abruptly it was gone. Many who had eaten there before say it was good riddance, but what should go there instead?
Louisvillians, of course, had plenty of thoughts.
I think we all know how well food does in this area. It's going to take more than a food court.

Rent was definitely the chopping block for Pig Beach, but I don't think a Margaritaville is going to answer all of this area's problems. I do appreciate that the second Redditor believes that, if Louisville were a man, it would have a large enough member to trip over.

Marketplaces around Louisville have succeeded in the past, but I doubt prime real estate like this would be given up for smaller markets.

If you shout it loud enough online, it'll come true.

Lots of folks seemed to like the marketplace idea. As long as there are proper times and good lighting at night, I could see it.

In concept? Awesome. In practice? Eh. Jeffersonville does it well, but that's only due to a sprawling business center right behind the venue.

As long as one single entity doesn't have to foot the whole bill, definitely.

In case you don't know, Claudia Sanders is a chicken house. Trust me Tyra, we've got enough of those around here.

A solid blend of ideas we've seen so far. The Chow Wagon is fire every time I go.

I'm always down for the government to pay for stuff we don't feel like paying for to be honest.

Probably just a lack of oversight and planning for decades by incompetent leaders. Oops.

This guy is awesome. Yes. Yes. Yes. Open spaces for activity is always a yes.

I have never heard of a workers lounge. Is this a large break room of some sort? How would it generate revenue? I'm sorry I'm just lost on this idea.
