The Myriad Hotel, a boutique hotel in the Highlands, recently opened. The 65-room property at 900 Baxter Avenue features a swim club, a restaurant (Paseo), a bar (Switchboard), event spaces, and more.
In a press release, Craig Pishotti, COO of Weyland Ventures and co-founder of Common Bond Hotel Collection, said, "The Myriad Hotel will embody what makes Louisville, and specifically the Highlands neighborhood, so special. We wanted to create a space for both visitors and locals to escape to, a getaway to relax and unwind, where they can expect the unexpected. But it's not just about providing a memorable experience for our guests; we are proud to support the local community and contribute to its growth.
The hotel was built on the site of a former disco ball factory the one from which the majority of the world's disco ball supply came, the release said; in an homage to that history, disco balls hang in the Myriad's lobby, and the building's elevator features a "party button" that plays music and flashes lights when pressed.
