The Blessing of the Beer and the Tapping of the Keg has become a favorite tradition accompanying the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Join the Ancient Order of the Hibernians as they march in the keg behind a piper. Then enjoy specials like corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, shepherds pie and Guinness Stew.

The 51st annual parade hosted by the Ancient Order of Hibernians begins in downtown Louisville and finishes in the Highlands, with thousands of people lining the route and celebrating the Irish spirit. If you’re looking for the best spot to watch, head to Baxter Ave. so you can hit up the nearest Irish pub when the last vehicle pulls away.
