Monday

Beer + Yoga Goodwood Brewing $5 donations; 8:30 p.m. Grab your mat and head over to Goodwood Brewing where you can center yourself with a yoga class taught by Abbey Brooks from Bend And Zen Hot Yoga (who will be accepting donations), and maybe after you will enjoy a good brew since all beers will be $1 off.

Tuesday

Defining Five #08 Haymarket Whiskey Bar Free; 6 p.m. Haymarket Whiskey Bar is hosting a night of life-defining music. Five local musicians will be spinning five songs that defined who they are as people and musicians, and, after that, there will be an hourlong set by a local DJ celebrating a single year in music.

Keep Louisville Lyrical Highlands Tap Room Free; 10 p.m., 21+ Keep Louisville Loud is hosting another hip-hop-centric Keep Louisville Lyrical night at Highlands Tap Room. This month’s acts include The Splash Brothers (Dom B and Rmllw2llz), Dave, Sego, Mmuso, and Stsy.

Wednesday

Anime Movie Night Kaiju (bar) Free; 8 p.m. Decompress in the middle of your weekly grind with some free popcorn and free anime. This time around, the movies include “Ninja Scroll” at 8 p.m. and “Perfect Blue” at 10 p.m.

Thursday

Old School Hip-Hop Night Kaiju (bar) Free; 10 p.m. Vane from Saving Our Style and DJ Hi-Definition will be spinning the best in old-school hip-hop this weekend at the giant monster-themed bar Kaiju (something tells me there will be plenty Wu-Tang Clan playing).

Instant Installation Invitational iii Louisville Visual Art Free; 5 p.m. This live art competition gives individual artists two hours to construct an art installation using 10 randomly-picked mystery items, and the audience picks the winner, who will receive "$1,000 in cash prizes."

Vogue Knights Mini Ball Cure Lounge Free; 9 p.m. To raise awareness and maybe even a little donation money, Stop HIV in the Ville is hosting a drag queen mini-ball, complete with cash categories, free food and door prizes. Music will be provided by Tyron CrazySwagg Mizfit, and make sure to dress correct for this event, since there will also be a prize for best dressed spectator.

‘Touched with Fire’ Kavier Gallery Free; 6 p.m. The Kavier Forge & Gallery is hosting a new exhibit starting Thursday. “Touched with Fire” is an exhibition with work from over 30 artists, mostly local but some national, exploring mental health and illness through the visual arts.

Rye Back Porch Session Rye Free; 7 p.m. This summer concert series hopes to expose a whole litter of local artists to our community, while getting the community to come out of their digitized lives and gather around some good food and music. This week's artists include Adam & Sarah of Murder By Death, Justin Paul Lewis and Cereal Glyphs.

Cards Under The Stars: Star Wars University of Louisville Free; 6:30 p.m. Load up your lawn chairs and blankets for the first screening of UofL’s outdoor summer film series, Cards Under The Stars. This month’s film is “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” and it will be screened at sunset on the lawn between the Natural Sciences Building and Grawemeyer Hall, with food provided by Lil Cheezers, Holy Molé and Sweet and Savory food trucks.

5th Annual Old Louisville Springfest Old Louisville Free; Noon Our city’s historic Old Louisville district is always nice to stroll through, with its hundreds of Victorian-style houses. But this week, it will be even grander because there will also be hundreds of vendors, and food trucks, artists and a car show for the 5th Annual Old Louisville Springfest. Just head to First Street between Oak and Magnolia, and take it all in.

Isolation Tank Ensemble and more! Kaiju (bar) $5, 10 p.m., 21+ Kick-off your weekend with some progressive, electronica and weird live music at Kaiju. Bands include Isolation Tank Ensemble,  Asm A Tik and The Most Amazing Century of Science.
