Hops on the Hill 2025
Mile Wide Beer Co. | 636 Barret Ave. | milewidebeer.com | Free/$10 VIP | 5:00 p.m. | 21 and over
The region’s best almost-all IPA festival (some sours have already snuck into the beer lineup), Hops on the Hill returns to Mile Wide Beer Co. for its eighth year on Saturday, August 2nd. This year is set to be the biggest and best one yet, featuring nine guest breweries:
- Atrium Brewing (Louisville, KY)
- Country Boy Brewing (Lexington, KY)
- Dancing Gnome Brewery (Pittsburgh, PA)
- Derive Brewing Company (Columbus, OH)
- Dreaming Creek Brewery (Richmond, KY)
- Gnosis Brewing (Merrillville, IN)
- Pipeworks Brewing Co. (Chicago, IL)
- Southern Grist Brewing Co. (Nashville, TN)
- Trillium Brewing (Boston, MA)
Each brewery will be bringing three or more of their own beers, and the tap list is being released one brewery at a time over on Mile Wide’s Facebook page.
Mile Wide has also collaborated on a few new beers with some of the guest breweries, and they’ll be rolling those out specially for the festival, as well as having several of their own beers on tap, including the namesake Hops on the Hill Oat Cream IPA.
Hops on the Hill runs from 5:00 p.m. until midnight, with a silent disco beginning at 9:00 p.m. Admission is free; just pay per beer.
Or upgrade your experience with a V.I.P. wristband ($5 for Mile Wide Club members, $10 for the general public), which will get you the following benefits:
- Early festival access at 4:00 p.m.
- A V.I.P. Lounge with couches, picnic tables, and massive fans to help cool you down.
- Free-play pinball games, (no quarters necessary).
- Music from a live DJ.
- And perhaps most importantly, access to the V.I.P. bar, which will have exclusive taps from each of the guest breweries!
V.I.P. wristbands are available for purchase now at the Mile Wide Taproom. And I speak from experience when I say that for only $10, it is absolutely worth it!
And this year Mile Wide is partnering with the Kentucky Humane Society for a donation drive at the Mile Wide Taproom! KHS is in the thick of kitten season and is in desperate need of some food for the pickier eaters. They also need treats for doggos so they don’t feel left out, because they’re all good fur babies.
Anyone who brings an item/items for donation will get entered into a drawing for V.I.P. passes to Hops on the Hill! Just drop the item(s) in the donation box by the to-go cooler, and then see a bartender for an entry slip. It’s that easy.
Winners will be drawn on Friday, 8/1, and the passes for the winners will be at the front gate the day of the festival. How many pairs they give away depends on how many donations they get, so the more everyone bombards them with food and treats, the more people will win!
Help animals. Drink beer.
