Metro Diner’s crispy fried chicken paired with a fluffy Belgian waffle topped with strawberry butter and sweet spicy sauce. Metro Diner
Metro Diner’s annual celebration of its signature dish returns Friday, August 8 with deals, giveaways, and plenty of syrup.
The chain’s Fried Chicken and Waffles features half a crispy fried chicken on a Belgian waffle with strawberry butter, powdered sugar, and sweet spicy sauce. Dine-in guests get five dollars off the dish that day. The first 50 through the door at each location receive a limited edition bracelet good for 10 percent off all dine-in orders throughout August.
The Bardstown Road staple closed without warning, following the owner’s exit and back-to-back shutdowns of two well-known Louisville restaurants.
Also back is the social media giveaway offering free Fried Chicken and Waffles for a year. You can enter on Metro Diner’s Facebook or Instagram through August 8. Winners will be announced August 13.
Metro Diner started National Fried Chicken and Waffle Day in 2018 to celebrate the dish that helped build its reputation. The chain now has more than 60 locations including several in Kentucky.
