Whitey Morgan once told me that saying that there is no good country music floating around is the equivalent to walking out of an Olive Garden in Manhattan and saying that there are no good Italian places in New York City anymore. His point: listening to the radio, realizing Luke Bryan sucks, Eric Church is just as bad and radio country is just pop music, doesn’t mean the genre is dead. Just dig deeper and give people like Zach Schmidt a chance.
