‘Wildflower &
White Oak”
by Colin Simmons

Colin Simmons of Barn Wood Photography wants to show you his Kentucky. As a native of the state, his images focus primarily on its natural beauty. It’s a love he inherited from his godfather, Kentucky photographer James Archambeault, who’s certainly a good choice for a mentor with his numerous calendars and photography books. Simmons, in turn, has passed on his love to his 7-year-old daughter, whose photography is also on display. People who can do a number of things well always fascinate me. Simmons is also a farmer, a chef who specializes in farm-to-table food and a mechanic of heavy machinery. His exhibition’s opening reception is during the March 25 FAT Friday Trolley Hop from 6-10 p.m.
